Quebec last week has pledged five million dollars to grow the Bota Bota floating spa the waterfront spa in Montreal.

The cash will fund a second boat for the fleet. Visitor numbers have been rising, prompting the move, according to local media said. The province has not released any more financial information.

Work is planned to start this spring, in the near season, and the new vessel is projected to be operating by early 2027. Officials note the additional space will cut wait times and lift tourism revenue. The expanded capacity is expected to ease congestion during peak days.
