The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences unveiled the shortlist for the next Daytime Emmy Awards. The Kelly Clarkson Show and The View gained the most nods. Several drama series lead characters are on the shortlist. Leading Actor and Top Actress in a drama series spots are still open, as does Outstanding Lead Performance in Daytime Drama. Soap actors appear in drama categories. Talk show presenters from celebrity and discussion formats also compete. The ceremony date is still to be confirmed.
