Ed Harris complained early on about his limited part in the new show in Dutton Ranch, the Yellowstone spin-off. He thought the role was meaningless and demanded to quit. Harris told Variety, 'firmly Get me the f- out of here' as he threw his hands up. He later agreed to return for Season 2 to come back for the next season. The show’s boss adjusted the narrative and gave his character more to do. That change prompted Harris opt to stay. Deadline now says he will reprise the character.
