Tottenham Hotspur finalised an £85 million deal for midfielder Mateus Fernandes on Friday. West Ham United accepted the offer after prolonged discussions. Fernandes cleared his health checks and put pen to paper straight away. Manchester United made a bid earlier this year. Tottenham met West Ham’s valuation to secure the transfer. The midfielder will now link up with the squad before pre-season starts. The club confirmed the move after the paperwork was finalised late on Friday night.
