It was a night to forget for Melbourne Victory, beaten 3-0 by Kingborough Lions in the Australia Cup at the Showgrounds in Hobart. About 3,000 people turned up and watched an A-League Men side get pushed around, the loss ending Victory's cup campaign on the spot. Further south, Melbourne City had a much calmer outing beating Weston Bears 3-0. The two Melbourne sides now press on to the round of 16. Victory shifts focus to their next league match after the shock loss.
