London police discovered a small marmoset inside a laundry bag on a bus last week. Staff noticed the vulnerable animal on July 18. The animal was scared and had no water while trembling. It survived the traumatic ordeal. Animal advocates described it an unlawful abandonment case. Meanwhile, researchers identified a newly described monkey species in Congo’s Lomami National Park. The discovery emerged during a regular survey in the Congo Basin.
