Day two of the Ponoka Stampade ended early. A drone struck two people near the chuckwagon arena, and organizers pulled the chuckwagon races and the World Professional Chuckwagon Association show. The incident forced a safety check of every aircraft flying over the fairgrounds.
Officials said extra inspections will run ahead of night three. following that, the evening will feature a Professional Bull Riders competition, and fans may enter once the checks are finished. The stampede is meant to stay safe and on schedule.
