The Egyptian FA says the referees made biased calls that affected the result. It wants a review of the officiating and penalties for the officials involved.
Belgium’s federation also lodged a protest with FIFA. The protest concerns the allocation of a training pitch before a possible knockout match. Belgium claims the pitch assignment put the team at a disadvantage. Both federations are waiting for FIFA’s response.
