The eastbound lanes of the eastbound side on the Tacoma Narrows Bridge shut down late Saturday night. Vehicles came to a halt after an emergency alert went out. Officers redirected drivers on each end of the bridge. Crews started checking the structure right away. Authorities have not said why they closed it yet. Work crews have not said when the lanes will reopen.
