A bomb scare stopped the NTI Townsville 500 for a brief time.
Police swept the circuit and let racing proceed after a minor delay.

The 200km race kicks off later today on the Townsville Street Circuit in Queensland.
This is a segment of the V8 Supercars series.
Organisers say the day may vary a bit but the race will still go ahead.
So far, no other concerns have happened.
