With 76% of votes counted on the night of November 4, Republican candidates led in all four Nassau County races: county executive, district attorney, comptroller, and clerk. This outcome indicates ongoing GOP strength throughout Long Island.
Republican incumbent Bruce Blakeman declared victory, leading Democratic challenger Seth Koslow 54% to 46%.
“I want to thank the men and women of Nassau County for giving us all your trust to lead us going forward,” said Blakeman. “We are going to continue the work that was started to make us an even more prosperous county…”
Blakeman, first elected in 2021, campaigned on low taxes, stronger public safety, and attracting new businesses to the county.
“I’ve done many campaigns over the years, but every election night you go in with the highest of hopes and the worst of fears, and you just ride with it until,”
This statement reflects the emotional experience candidates face during election nights.
The recent Nassau County elections demonstrate a strong Republican hold, with incumbents emphasizing economic growth and public safety to maintain voter support.
