Big Brother Australia is making a comeback on Channel 10 in 2025. The iconic reality series promises a fresh and exciting season, with details about contestants, filming location, and premiere date gradually emerging.
Although the final cast remains confidential and can still change, host Mel Tracina shared some insights with The Watchlist. She revealed that the contestants' ages span five decades, covering a wide spectrum of backgrounds.
“It’s ranging from a grandmother to a single mum to a barber to a self-confessed bogan,” Mel said. “We have blue-collar workers and white-collar workers. We have a diverse range.”
Mel Tracina explained what sets Big Brother apart from other reality competitions.
“You don’t need to fit certain criteria to be in the house. You don’t need to be physically or mentally strong, like you would [on] Survivor. You don’t need to be single, like you would on MAFS,” she said.
Big Brother Australia returns with a diverse cast and a unique, inclusive format that invites a broad range of contestants, marking a new chapter for the reality staple.
