The popular Netflix series Stranger Things has long featured a complicated relationship between David Harbour’s character, Jim Hopper, and Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven. Now, new reports claim that behind the scenes, tensions may have gone beyond fiction.
According to The Mail on Sunday, David Harbour, 50, faced accusations of bullying and harassment from his co-star Millie Bobby Brown. The British actress allegedly filed a formal complaint before production began on the show’s fifth and final season, prompting an internal inquiry at Netflix.
“Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season. There were pages and pages of accusations. The investigation went on for months,” said a source.
The outcome of the internal investigation remains undisclosed, though it is understood that the allegations did not involve any sexual misconduct.
Harbour is also reportedly facing separate allegations of infidelity connected to his estranged wife, singer-songwriter Lily Allen. Despite the strain, sources claim that Allen supported him throughout the controversy.
“Lily supported him throughout it all. It was a brutal time,” said another source.
Netflix declined to comment regarding any investigation or the reported tensions among the cast.
Amid the final season of Stranger Things, David Harbour faces claims of bullying his co-star Millie Bobby Brown, while personal issues with Lily Allen add to the public scrutiny surrounding the actor.
