The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) Undertaking has made significant changes and improvements to its bus services starting November 1. These adjustments include new routes, cancellations of some segments, route rationalisations, and conversion of several routes to air-conditioned buses, all designed to boost commuter comfort and streamline operations.
BEST has launched route A-101, operating six days a week from Monday to Saturday, connecting the World Trade Center with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus. This route covers important locations such as G D Somani Road, President Hotel, Colaba, Hutatma Rajguru Chowk, and Madame Cama Road. The return trip will pass through Hutatma Chowk, Veer Nariman Road, Churchgate, and other major landmarks, improving connectivity in South Mumbai.
Several routes are being upgraded to air-conditioned buses to enhance passenger comfort during travel.
BEST aims to "improve commuter convenience and operational efficiency" with these changes.
