In anticipation of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, Canada and Finland have officially presented their national hockey team uniforms.
Canada introduced three uniform designs for the upcoming Games:
Finland revealed two uniforms: one white and one in dark blue. The team approaches the Milano Cortina Games with strong momentum, following their gold medal victory in Beijing in 2022, which was Finland’s first Olympic gold in ice hockey.
Canada has historically dominated Olympic ice hockey with nine gold medals, although its last victory came in Sochi in 2014. The team did not reach the podium in 2022, raising expectations for redemption in 2026.
The 2026 Winter Olympics will mark the return of NHL players for the first time since 2014. NHL athletes competed in the Winter Games from 1998 through 2014 but were barred after 2018 due to scheduling conflicts during the league’s regular season. The NHL is expected to pause mid-season to allow players to represent their countries once again.
