Tragic Incident at Wawa Cantonment
The Nigerian Army confirmed a tragic incident involving Lance Corporal Akenleye Femi, who killed his wife before taking his own life at the Wawa Cantonment in Niger State.
In a statement issued by Captain Stephen Nwankwo, Acting Assistant Director of Army Public Relations, the Army described the incident as
"tragic"and said it occurred on Friday, October 11, 2025.
The incident was announced on Sunday, October 12, 2025, by the 22 Armoured Brigade, Ilorin.
