Channing Tatum, known for portraying Gambit, is still astonished by what was created in Avengers: Doomsday. With the film’s details tightly concealed, Tatum seems determined to amplify the excitement surrounding the upcoming Marvel blockbuster.
"Look, everyone in the world is going to see this movie,"
— Channing Tatum told Deadline.
He added that Marvel has outdone itself with each release, and this one could surpass all expectations.
"They've topped themselves every time. This will be the biggest movie of next year and maybe even the next 10 years."
Tatum said his amazement began while reading the initial script and later witnessing its ambitious ideas come to life on set. Although he avoided revealing plot details, his remarks were enough to excite even longtime Marvel fans.
"The scope of it, what they're trying to do… what the Russos have cooked up – when I read it, I was just like, 'How are they going to do this?'. It was an Everest of a mountain to climb. I am still in awe."
Gambit won’t be sitting on the sidelines in this film. Despite an injury to his hamstring during one of the action scenes, Tatum confirmed that his character is deeply involved in the story.
"I do so much action in this movie, but that was just a small part," Tatum said, suggesting that the X-Men will see plenty of action throughout Avengers: Doomsday.
Tatum believes Avengers: Doomsday will break cinematic records, calling it a creation of unmatched scope that pushes Marvel’s storytelling to new heights.
