Poppies and related merchandise to support veterans are available in stores, legions, and online, including through the Royal Canadian Legion Amazon store. The Legion has launched this Amazon store for the second year, offering items such as lapel pins, magnets, and poppy flowers in honour of Remembrance Day on November 11.
“The Poppy Campaign is the legion’s most significant fundraising effort, with 100 per cent of proceeds going directly to support Canada’s veterans and their families,” reads a news release from the legion on Friday.
The campaign started on Friday and will continue until Remembrance Day. Albertans can obtain pins by donating either through the Legion's online poppy store or at traditional poppy boxes located throughout the province, including at TD bank branches.
