Several people became ill at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland after opening a suspicious package containing an unidentified white powder. The incident prompted an immediate evacuation and precautionary measures.
According to reports, the package was delivered to one of the buildings at the base, which also houses the Air National Guard Readiness Center. When the package was opened, several individuals experienced sickness and required medical attention at the on-base Malcolm Grove Medical Center.
“As a precaution, the building and connecting building were evacuated, and a cordon was established around the area,” stated Joint Base Andrews.
