More than 300,000 spectators are expected to line the streets to watch the annual Christmas Pageant. Key roads will be closed from early morning until afternoon to accommodate the event safely.
Pageant Route
- Starts at South Terrace
- Turns onto King William Street
- Follows the western edge of Tarntanyangga
- Passes through Reconciliation Plaza
- Continues along Wakefield Street, Pulteney Street, and North Terrace
- Concludes at Beehive Corner
Safety Advice from RAA
“The Christmas Pageant brings huge numbers to the city each year so road closures will be in place tomorrow morning to keep everyone safe,” said Charles Mountain, RAA Senior Manager Safety and Infrastructure.
He also highlighted the scarcity of on-street parking and recommended checking availability of off-street parking and allowing extra travel time when driving to the event.
