During Oasis’ first night of their Australian Live ’25 reunion tour in Melbourne, lead singer Liam Gallagher harshly criticized an audience member who threw a flare into the crowd.
“To the massive C*** who launched that flare into the crowd last night at the gig in Melbourne — you are one seriously messed up individual and you will get yours, trust me,”
Gallagher wrote on X (formerly Twitter) after the concert at Marvel Stadium.
The incident occurred during the final song of the night, “Champagne Supernova.” A fan replied to Gallagher’s post, sharing a video showing the person waving the flare before tossing it into the audience.
Concertgoer Brad Bultman told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation that Gallagher appeared to notice the flare and jokingly said “naughty, naughty, naughty” after the performance ended.
“At first, I thought it was part of the show,”
Bultman said, explaining how the situation suddenly escalated when the flare exploded and spread smoke. He added,
“Then somebody actually picked up the live flare and tossed it back into the air, creating more fire and smoke in another area. I was like, ‘Oh geez,’ and just hoped no one was injured.”
The Melbourne concerts mark the beginning of the band’s Australian leg, following shows that began in July. Oasis will perform additional dates in Melbourne and Sydney before heading to South America later this month.
