Remembrance Day Parades 2025: Bus Service Changes on Sunday 9 November

Temporary route adjustments will affect some bus services on Remembrance Sunday, 9th November 2025. The parades that NCT have been informed about are listed below, but additional brief disruptions may occur.

Two-Minute Silence Observance

At 11am on Sunday 9th and Tuesday 11th November, bus drivers will pause to observe the two-minute silence. Whenever possible and safe, buses will be parked with engines turned off. The company encourages passengers to join this national moment of remembrance.

Free Travel for Service Personnel

NCT is providing free travel for all serving personnel, cadets, and veterans from 8th to 11th November 2025 inclusive. Passengers should show appropriate identification or be in uniform to qualify.

Road Closures and Bus Diversions on 9th November

Calverton Parade

A parade in Calverton on 9th November will impact Sky Blue 61 services between 09:00 and 12:00.

East Leake Road Closure

Main Street in East Leake will be closed between 10:30 and 11:45 on 9th November. South Notts 1 buses will be diverted via Main Street, Castle Hill, and Loughborough Road.
