Director and executive producer Shawn Levy labeled some claims in a viral report about Millie Bobby Brown accusing David Harbour of harassment and bullying as “wildly inaccurate.”
The final season press tour for Stranger Things began Monday, but Netflix avoided addressing the viral bullying allegations against Harbour during the events.
Despite these claims, Brown and Harbour appeared cheerful together at the season five world premiere in Los Angeles on Thursday evening.
“Obviously, you understand I can’t get into personal on-set matters, but I will say we’ve been doing this for 10 years with this cast, and at this point they’re family and we deeply care about them. So, you know, nothing matters more than just having a set where everyone feels safe and happy.”
— Ross Duffer, co-creator of Stranger Things
“At the end of the day, that’s the job. You have to create a respectful workplace where everyone feels comfortable and safe, and so we did everything to build that environment. And we’re proud of the fact that we did so.”
— Shawn Levy, director and executive producer of Stranger Things
The production team emphasized their commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful set for the cast and crew throughout the show's ten-year history.
