Starbucks’ newest holiday item, the 20-ounce Bearista Cold Cup, sold out almost immediately after its release on November 6. The bear-shaped cup features a clear design and a lid with an attached straw that looks like a green beanie perched on the bear’s head, matching Starbucks’ signature color.
The cup was first announced on Starbucks' Instagram on November 5, quickly stirring excitement among fans. However, many customers reported the item was already sold out when they tried to purchase it, with some Starbucks locations allegedly stocking only one or two cups each.
“Not cool marketing Starbucks to only have 1-2 at each store and allow your baristas to buy them before customers. You should have had additional stock for your baristas and at least 10-20 for each store.”
“Our local store received ONE.”
Starbucks has acknowledged the situation and is addressing the concerns raised by customers regarding the limited availability of the Bearista Cold Cups.
This festive Starbucks cup caused instant hype and shortage, sparking customer frustration over limited stock and barista access ahead of public purchase.
