Alan Carr, known for his role on the popular BBC One gameshow Celebrity Traitors and his ITV sitcom Changing Ends, is set for more exposure after the BBC secured him for a new show.
The 49-year-old comedian has reportedly been flown abroad to film the pilot of a prime-time quiz show featuring celebrity guests, according to The Sun. This move follows speculation about a new TV deal for Carr, eight years after his Channel 4 chat show, Chatty Man, ended.
This significant deal is expected to place Carr in direct competition with Celebrity Traitors co-star Jonathan Ross, who recently renewed his contract with ITV for The Jonathan Ross Show.
A source told the publication: "Unquestionably, Alan is the hottest man on TV right now. Everyone wants a piece of him. But the BBC have acted quickly and last week he was jetted out to a swanky European city for a day of filming a pilot."
Alan Carr's rising TV presence continues as the BBC signs him for a new celebrity quiz show, highlighting his ongoing demand and career resurgence.
