Riley Keough's mother, Lisa Marie Presley, passed away on January 12, 2023. Since then, Keough has co-finished her memoir and experienced signs she believes show her mother's approval.
On November 4, 2025, Riley attended the Academy x Chanel Women’s Luncheon, where she shared with PEOPLE how she continues to feel connected to her mother in unexplainable ways. Despite Lisa Marie no longer being on earth, Riley feels her presence, especially after co-writing her memoir, From Here to the Great Unknown.
“I think if you're open to those things, they're kind of everywhere,” Keough told PEOPLE. “So, I certainly feel connected to whatever that world may be. I do feel connected to it, yeah. There are certainly moments that are very... too weird to not be something.”
Although Riley did not specify the experiences, she mentioned they will be described in the afterword of the paperback edition of her book, set to release on November 11.
Riley's openness to supernatural moments seems to be a trait inherited from her mother. Lisa Marie, daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, was only nine when Elvis passed away and appeared to sense the event before it happened.
Author's summary: Riley Keough feels a profound spiritual connection with her late mother, Lisa Marie Presley, experiencing mysterious signs that she plans to reveal in her memoir's upcoming afterword.
