The Los Angeles Rams are making a switch at the kicker position, with Harrison Mevis set to make his NFL debut on Sunday, replacing Joshua Karty.
Despite Karty missing eight field goals or extra points this season—the most in the NFL—the Rams are not releasing him, according to head coach Sean McVay. However, the team plans to field a new kicker and long snapper in their upcoming game.
Jake McQuaide, who previously served as Los Angeles’ long snapper from 2011 to 2020, will return to replace Alex Ward.
“I still do have a lot of confidence in Josh Karty,” McVay said.
