Let the NAB AFLW Finals Series Begin
The highly anticipated 2025 NAB AFLW Finals Series has officially started. Marking the milestone tenth season, the AFL launched the finals and announced the Grand Final medal presenters at Yarraville Seddon Eagles FC in Melbourne's west.
Teams Competing in the Finals
The finals kick off this Friday night and will feature several noteworthy teams:
- St Kilda and West Coast Eagles, both making their first-ever finals appearance
- Experienced teams Adelaide Crows and Brisbane Lions
- Melbourne, Carlton, and Hawthorn, all vying again for the championship
- North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos, who won the minor premiership and will defend their 2024 title
Grand Final Medal Presenters
For the first time in AFLW history, the captain of the winning grand final team will receive a special medal, equivalent to the AFL's Ron Barassi Medal.
Erin Phillips OAM, Hall of Famer and former co-captain of the Adelaide Crows, who earned two best on ground medals in three premiership wins, will present the Captain’s Medal to the winning captain.
