Reflecting on the Met Gala, Hawes shares a surprising detail about the event's schedule:
“The thing that might surprise you about the Met Gala is how promptly it ends. Everyone's gone!”
She explains this is because attendees often change into different outfits and continue to other parties. However, when she and her husband, actor Matthew Macfadyen, attended last year, they chose to skip the afterparties entirely.
An Evening Disconnecting from the Spotlight
Exhausted from the event, they returned directly to their hotel and spent time unwinding together. Keeley recounts:
“We were so stunned and tired. We went straight back to our hotel. Talked about everything we'd seen."
To relax, Hawes watched an episode of the reality TV show Naked And Afraid, which features two strangers surviving in the wilderness for 21 days. She found the show to be a calming contrast to the glamour.
