Matthew Macfadyen, star of Succession, recently opened up about an unexpected threat to his marriage from his wife, Keeley Hawes. The couple, who celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary last month, first met in 2002.

Despite their strong relationship, Matthew revealed that Keeley once threatened divorce over his behavior while filming Succession in the American Southwest. While shooting scenes in New Mexico, he tried to embrace the local culture.
Speaking on the Travel Secrets podcast, Matthew recalled: "We went to Santa Fe [in New Mexico] to the high desert. I remember ringing Keeley and saying, 'Do you think I’d get away with buying cowboy boots?'"
Keeley, known for her role in Line of Duty, expressed her concerns about this choice.
Matthew described their relationship as harmonious overall, despite the unusual moment involving cowboy boots.
