Record stores around the world hosted “Ego Nite” events to celebrate the vinyl release of Hayley Williams’ third solo album, Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party. Alongside the celebration, Williams unveiled a new surprise track titled “Showbiz.”
“Showbiz” follows “Good Ol Days” and “Parachute,” extending the album’s original 17-song roster released earlier this summer through her label, Post Atlantic, and distributed by Secretly Distribution.
Williams co-wrote the track with producer Daniel James, who collaborated on every song from the album. The song narrates a romantic encounter set in the dim, smoky atmosphere of a nightclub.
“I wanna do it again / I wanna dance in the strobe lights / I wanna choke on the smoke / And feel your eyes on me.”
In the song, she reflects on whether the moment meant as much to the other person as it did to her. The accompanying visualizer showcases the Nashville skyline and features Williams’ handwritten-style artwork seen throughout the LP.
During “Ego Nite,” fans enjoyed record playback sessions, exclusive merchandise, and physical copies of the album.
Hayley Williams surprised fans with “Showbiz,” a new addition to her latest album, blending nightclub nostalgia with emotional depth in her signature visual and sonic style.
