Maharashtra Congress president Harshwardhan Sapkal has demanded a white paper on land transactions in Mumbai and Pune, citing widespread irregularities in property dealings across the state. He also called for a full-day discussion on the issue during the upcoming Winter Session of the legislature.
Sapkal claimed that large-scale irregularities in land dealings were ongoing and suggested that the masterminds behind these land scams were operating from Mantralaya.
“The Mahayuti government has become completely shameless. Every day a new scandal comes to light, but no action is taken. Ruling party leaders and their relatives are looting the state. Land worth crores in Mumbai and Pune have been grabbed for a pittance,” Sapkal alleged.
The Congress leader accused the BJP-led Mahayuti government of shielding those involved, describing the deals as acts of collective criminality. Sapkal questioned why Parth, allegedly linked to the case, had not yet been booked.
The demand for transparency in land dealings intensifies as Sapkal pressures the Mahayuti government over alleged scams and lack of punitive action.
