Israel and Hamas have agreed to pause fighting in Gaza to free hostages and prisoners.

A deal was reached on Wednesday, accepting elements of a plan put forward by the Trump administration, marking the biggest breakthrough in months in the two-year-old war.

In exchange for Palestinian prisoners, the remaining hostages in Gaza will be freed in the coming days.
