Megyn Kelly delivered a harsh critique of the Republican Party following its substantial losses on Election Day. She accused her conservative peers of failing to succeed without former President Donald Trump's leadership.
On “The Megyn Kelly Show” aired Wednesday afternoon, Kelly discussed results that brought significant Democratic victories in California, New Jersey, Virginia, and New York City.
“The Republican party needs to get its s–t together ASAP,” Kelly stated emphatically in her latest episode.
She expressed sarcasm about the party’s recent focus, saying,
“I’m really glad we spent the past couple of weeks, as Sean Davis of the Federalist put it, policing some young person’s group chat. What a podcast host said and what the head of a think tank over at Heritage had to say. I’m really glad that the Republicans devoted so much time to that. That was a great move.”
Kelly argued that Republicans have a tendency to embrace defeat and complain when under pressure:
“The Republicans like to lose. They enjoy when they are embattled and in a losing position and complaining. They do it really well.”
She further criticized their leadership capabilities, focusing on Trump’s unique influence:
“Republicans don’t know how to win. They don’t know who to run. They don’t know what to do when daddy’s not there to fly them across the finish line. And that’s just been so obvious.”
Kelly’s message underscores a deep frustration with the Republican Party’s current state and reliance on Trump’s leadership.
