PITTSBURGH – Bryan Adams kicked off Sunday’s show in an unexpected way, starting his high-energy concert quietly before delivering a powerful performance. At 9 p.m., the house lights dimmed, and Adams surprised the crowd by appearing alone on the small “B” stage at the far end of the PPG Paints Arena floor, away from the main stage.
With an acoustic guitar in hand, the Canadian rocker opened with “Can’t Stop This Thing We Started,” followed by the hit “Straight From The Heart.” Fans near the stage eagerly captured close-up photos, perfect for sharing on social media.
Usually reserved for later in a set, the B-stage energized the crowd and served as a unique starting point for Adams. He then moved across the arena floor to the main stage, greeting fans with fist bumps along the way.
All attendees had special free wristbands that flashed different colors, creating a striking visual effect that recurred throughout Adams' two-hour show.
“Adams’ voice sounded stellar throughout, that wisp of a rasp giving him a signature sound that brought warm familiarity to hits like ‘Run to You,’ ‘This Time,’ and ‘Have You Ever Really Loved Somebody.’”
Adams continued to deliver some of his most beloved songs with his unmistakable voice and engaging stage presence, making for a memorable Pittsburgh concert experience.
