The online retail giant Amazon has reached a $2.5 billion settlement with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). This settlement addresses concerns that signing up for Amazon Prime was too easy to do accidentally for some customers.
Amazon Prime customers who enrolled between 2019 and 2025 may be entitled to receive part of the $1.5 billion returning to consumers. Individual settlement payments can be up to $51.
