Renell Robert was known for the phrase “So beautiful,” a sentiment that echoed throughout his life. Born in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, to Dorothy and Lester, he had a deep love for his home state. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, family gatherings, Tulane football, and especially cherishing his grandchildren.
After graduating from Gonzales High School, Renell proudly served in the United States Coast Guard as a decorated Vietnam veteran. He later attended Southeastern Louisiana University and spent more than 30 years working alongside his brothers at Ciba Geigy/Syngenta.
Renell was affectionately known as the “Fix-It” for his talent in restoring broken things. He found joy in gardening, planting flowers, and growing closer every day to his wife of 13 years, Lillie.
His greatest loves were his daughters, Robyn and Rebecca, who filled him with immense pride and affection. Renell cherished his role as a brother to Phyllis, Dale, Faryl, Rickey, Kirk, and Keeley, ensuring the Robert household was always lively.
The joy of his life extended to his grandchildren, whom he adored deeply:
“Poppa loves those babies more than sunshine.”
