Victorian team secures place in Scania’s ‘Top Team’ Asian Regional finals

Victorian Team Secures Spot in Scania’s Top Team Asian Regional Finals

A team from Scania’s Dandenong Branch has triumphed in Australia’s National Top Team competition for the second consecutive year. The group will travel to Bangkok in early 2026 for the Asian Regional finals, where they aim to earn one of two coveted positions in the World Finals in Sweden.

Seven teams from Scania’s company-owned branches across Australia competed in the National Finals, following an earlier knockout stage that featured another eight teams nationwide.

“Top Team is a global Scania initiative that celebrates and develops the professionalism of our service teams, strengthening technical capability, efficiency, and collaboration within our workshops,” said Stefan Weber, Director of Aftersales at Scania Australia, who oversaw the event held at Scania’s Campbellfield head office in late October.

Led by team captain Chris Chilver, the Dandenong squad claimed overall honours once again. Chilver described this year’s National Finals as the most challenging of the four he has participated in during his career.

“We had strong team spirit; we didn’t let a low score from one station affect us at the next. It was clearly a tough event, so we stayed focused and used each member’s strengths effectively,” he said.
