Jetstar Expands Operations from Melbourne Avalon Airport
On Monday, 10 November 2025, Jetstar announced its largest expansion yet at Melbourne Avalon Airport, introducing new international flights to Bali, resuming services to Adelaide, and increasing flights to Brisbane.
New Routes and Increased Capacity
This expansion will add more than 330,000 low-fare seats annually through Melbourne's secondary airport. It aims to provide local travelers with greater access to new destinations while attracting tourists to boost Victoria's economy.
Jetstar's First International Route from Avalon
Jetstar's new Bali service will be the airline's first-ever international route from Melbourne Avalon, marking a milestone for the airport's largest carrier.
To celebrate, Jetstar launched a 48-hour sale starting midday on 10 November, offering domestic fares from $29 and flights to Bali from $199.

- Flight frequency: Five return flights weekly between Melbourne Avalon and Bali (Denpasar)

- Annual capacity increase: Over 120,000 seats to and from Bali
