Sacramento Kings have officially signed forward/center Precious Achiuwa on a one-year minimum-salary contract and waived second-year forward Isaac Jones to clear a roster spot.
According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the Kings reached an agreement with free agent Achiuwa in the morning, and later confirmed this move in a team press release at 4:52 pm, which also announced Jones' waiver.
The Kings have been managing frontcourt challenges following Keegan Murray's thumb injury last month. With Murray sidelined, the team has relied on smaller lineups and given more playing time to rookies Nique Clifford and Dylan Cardwell.
