IUCN Members have adopted a new 20-year Strategic Vision and four-year Programme to guide the Union's work up to 2030.
"The world is shifting beneath our feet with startling speed. Biodiversity loss has not been halted, and is converging with climate change, pollution, and inequality in ways never experienced before," said H.E. IUCN President Razan Khalifa Al Mubarak.
According to President Al Mubarak, despite the challenges, she remains optimistic about IUCN's capacity to address them, stating that conservation works and nature can recover.
The new programme focuses on data, analysis, convening, and action, leveraging the Union's position as the world's largest and most diverse environmental network.
