Cardinal Presides Over Act of Reparation in St. Peter's
Cardinal Mauro Gambetti, archpriest of St. Peter's Basilica, presided over a penitential rite of reparation at the main altar following a serious act of desecration.
The rite, attended by members of the chapter of the Vatican basilica, included a penitential procession and the sprinkling of holy water and incense to purify the altar.
