Amupitan: New Broom at INEC
Last week, October 7, Professor Mahmoud Yakubu, Chair of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), exited his position after serving from 2015 to 2025.
He was replaced in an acting capacity by Mrs. May Agbamuche-Mbu, Chairperson of the Legal Services, Clearance, and Complaints Committee (LSC &CC).
She may hold the record for the shortest tenure, unlike Ms. Amina Bala Zakari, who served as acting chair from June to November 2015.
Mrs Mbu may not be that lucky.
