Pittsburgh International Airport held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new $1.7 billion terminal ahead of its entry into service.
The ceremony, attended by around 300 guests, including Pennsylvania’s governor Josh Shapiro, marks the start of the countdown towards the new terminal’s public opening, slated for November 2025.
A public trial was conducted on September 3, 2025, with 300 participants testing the airport’s services and procedures.
The new terminal represents a significant change in the way Pittsburgh International Airport operates.
A second public trial will take place before the official inauguration.
