A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect until 8 PM Wednesday for coastal Carteret, Craven, Pamlico, and Onslow Counties. A Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect from the Oregon Inlet southward through Ocracoke Island through 8 AM Wednesday.
Weather Outlook
The clouds will stick around on Tuesday, but rain is unlikely. Winds will stay gusty from the north at 15-30 mph. By midweek, temperatures will rise into the upper 60s and low 70s inland, and mid-70s along the coast.
Sunshine is expected to return, making for a milder mid-October day. At night, clear skies and light northerly breezes will create an environment for radiational cooling, with temperatures potentially dropping into the 50s and 40s by Wednesday and Thursday night.
