The Supreme Court has denied Alex Jones' appeal, upholding a $1.4 billion judgment for defamation related to the Sandy Hook Elementary School mass shooting.
The court declined to hear a challenge by the Infowars website founder to the judgment awarded to families of the victims over his false statements that the 2012 incident was a hoax.
The judicial body left the judgment in place, related to the incident where 26 people – 20 students and six staff members – were killed by a 20-year-old former student.
No comment from Alex Jones was provided.
