A policy workshop was held in Islamabad from 7-9 October 2025, focused on strengthening Pakistan's prevention frameworks.
The Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, Ms. Wajiha Qamar, emphasized the importance of engaging youth in preventing extremist behaviors, stating:
It’s critical to engage youth in prevention of extremist behaviors. My ministry & staff are open to any kind of support needed.
Chairman Prime Minister's Youth Program, Rana Mashood, suggested cultural exchange and inter/intra-university programs as effective ways to promote understanding and peace.
The workshop was funded by the European Union (EU) and organized by UNODC Pakistan in partnership with the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA).
