York Regional Police have charged two men from Brampton following an alleged taxi scam in Vaughan, Ont.
The accused have been charged with possession of stolen property, obtaining by false pretenses, and disguise with intent.
The incident occurred on September 26 at 8:44 p.m. when police attended a commercial plaza in the Colossus Dr.-Famous Ave. area for a suspicious vehicle call.
A complainant was allegedly approached by a male who asked him to speak to a taxi driver in a black Honda Civic on his behalf, claiming the driver would not accept his payment.
