Saothair Capital Partners Acquires GatesAir
Private-equity firm Saothair Capital Partners has completed the acquisition of GatesAir through a newly-formed affiliate.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. GatesAir, founded in 1922, is a major global designer, manufacturer and installer of wireless, over-the-air content delivery and public safety communications equipment.
The company is headquartered in Mason, Ohio, with manufacturing facilities in Quincy, Ill., and Brescia, Italy.

GatesAir has undergone several ownership changes in recent years, including its acquisition by Thomson Broadcast in 2022 from an affiliate of The Gores Group.
