The Marshalltown Community College (MCC) eSports program has achieved national prominence in just over three years, with its latest milestone being the win of the Fall 2025 Mario Kart 8DX D2 National Championship.
The Tigers Mario Kart team finished an 11-0 season, defeating several larger schools to claim the title. Team members include Tess Pacza, Dimitri Petrimeas, Ryne Erickson, Jacob Eirikson, Roby Widner, and Pete Perkins, who are led by Director of eSports Andrew Goforth and Coach Nate Rodemeyer.
